Favorite Healthy Snacks for Your Travel Days
Don’t rely on airports and hotels to have what you need! I learned this the hard way so you don’t have. So let’s get you Prepared with a capital P! A formula I love for snacks is to combine protein, fat, and fiber.
FIBER: Whenever I am traveling I will cut up peppers, celery, cucumbers, and carrots and put them in little ziplock bags.
FATS: I travel with individual sized sunflower butter packets (you can use peanut butter or almond butter too) they sell these at most grocery stores. Stores like TJS and I have even seen them at CVS carry individual sized guacamole and hummus which can be great to use as a dip with your veggies.
PROTEIN: For my carnivores, there are a lot of clean ingredient jerky products on the market. Greek yogurt is an easy gran n’ go and I have also been known to hard boil eggs and put them in an air tight container. For my vegans, look for protein bars that are low in sugar and carb. I love the brand Sakara for their chocolate metabolism protein bar. It is chocoalte-y but not to sweet, and is gluten-free, organic, and vegan. I have a special code XOCASEY for 20% off the bars if you want to try
